Worship Director - Matt Pogue
Matt was raised here at First Baptist Haysville for most of his childhood, then went off to college to get a degree in nursing. Along the way, God called him into music ministry, and it has remained his passion since. Between Kansas and Texas, he has served churches in Wichita, Arkansas City, Goddard, Canyon, and Amarillo. Matt came back to FB Haysville in the spring of 2023 to help lead music for church services during a time of transition but came on staff in winter of 2023.

Living in Derby, he works part-time as the worship director and full-time as a travel nurse. He enjoys being with his family, spending time outdoors, playing Settlers of Catan, and just going with the flow of life.
If you had to sum up your responsibilities at FBC Haysville in one sentence, what would it be?

To lead our body of believers in truthful and passionate worship of God.
What is the best advice you have ever been given?
Always be willing to ask for help.
